Jobot is seeking a seasoned Chief Estimator for our Ground Up Construction division. This leadership role drives project estimates from concept to completion, guiding a skilled team to deliver accurate budgets and profitable bids.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in ground-up estimation, proficient with estimating software, and a track record of successful bids. Located in the Chester County area, this position offers a robust compensation package and growth path.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in ground-up construction estimation.
• Proven track record in bidding and winning projects.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred in CM/Engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

• Develop and oversee detailed project estimates and budgets from ground up.
• Analyze construction plans and specs to determine scope.
• Coordinate data collection with PMs, architects, engineers, and contractors.
• Oversee and direct all estimating teams.
• Participate in bid reviews and present profitable bids.
• Mentor and manage a team of estimators.
• Stay current with market conditions and material costs.
• Implement and maintain estimation software/databases.

Job Details

We are currently seeking a dynamic and dedicated Chief Estimator for our Ground Up Construction division. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to join our highly skilled team. This position will play a crucial role in the planning and development of our construction projects, from the initial concept through to completion. Our ideal candidate is a self-motivated, detail-oriented individual with a strong background in ground up construction and a proven track record of successful project estimation and team leadership.

Responsibilities

1. Developing and overseeing comprehensive, detailed project estimates and budgets from the ground up.
2. Analyzing and interpreting construction plans and project specifications to determine project scope.
3. Coordinating with project managers, architects, engineers, and contractors to gather all necessary data for accurate estimation.
4. Oversee and direct all estimating teams
5. Participating in bid reviews and presentations to ensure competitive and profitable project bids.
6. Managing and mentoring a team of estimators, providing guidance and support as needed.
7. Staying up-to-date with industry trends, market conditions, and construction materials costs.
8. Implementing and maintaining estimation software and databases for improved accuracy and efficiency.

Qualifications

1. A minimum of 10 years of experience in construction estimation, specifically in ground-up construction.
2. Proven experience in successful bidding and winning construction projects.

4. Exceptional analytical and mathematical skills.
5. Strong leadership and team management abilities.
6. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
7. Proficiency in estimation software and other related technical tools.
8. A bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
