Job summary

Fair Lane Estate is seeking a Director of Facilities & Security to lead maintenance, custodial and security for the Clara & Henry Ford estate, guiding infrastructure, IT, and capital projects. You will manage budgets, collaborate with senior directors, supervise two direct reports, and oversee vendor contracts, safety, and emergency planning.

Some remote work allowed; strong leadership required. This is a full-time exempt role with benefits and salary of $85,000 per year, requiring 7+ years

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional facilities management experience.
• 5+ years of progressive leadership experience.
• Hands-on experience with mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and like facilities systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee facilities maintenance, custodial, and security operations.
• Develop, monitor, and manage budgets for Maintenance, Facilities, Security, and IT.
• Coordinate with senior directors to align operations with preservation standards and programming.
• Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and service providers across trades.
• Ensure OSHA compliance and workplace safety standards.
