Job summary

Centene Corporation seeks an experienced PMO leader to oversee department staff, including hiring, performance management, and career development. Qualified candidates bring 10+ years in IT, a Bachelor's in Computer Science/MIS or related field, and prior staff management experience.

Experience managing staff, including hiring, training, managing workload and performance.

Responsibilities

Transform the PMO operating model toward strategic delivery, transparency, and measurable outcomes.
Establish enterprise standards: strengthen project governance, portfolio management, reporting, risk escalation, and delivery accountability.
Improve portfolio performance: drive stronger project health, targeting green status for ~80% of the portfolio.
Create a metrics-driven environment: improve visibility into delivery quality, project health, resource demand, and execution risk.
Advance tooling, automation, and AI adoption: reduce administrative burden; ServiceNow experience viewed as an advantage.
Align delivery across BTS: connect PMs, program managers, delivery leads, and contractors inside and outside the PMO.
Strengthen organizational capability: build skills, coach leaders, manage performance, and clarify future PMO expectations.
Apply process and business expertise to impact business results.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Complies with all policies and standards.
