Job summary
AeroVironment, Inc. is seeking a Vice-President level BGCE for Precision Strike and Defense Systems. This role is the overall technical authority, leading a team of engineers to ideate, develop, launch, and sustain products through the lifecycle.
You will shape concepts of operations that feed roadmaps to meet business goals and chairs technical reviews. You will collaborate with customers and Product Line Managers, driving requirements, budgets, schedules, and resource plans, while mentoring
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, aerospace, electrical, or systems engineering.
- Minimum 15 years aerospace product design and sustainment.
- Experience with defense products and customers.
- Experience leading UAS programs through the lifecycle.
- Experience with drawings, BOMs, and engineering change systems.
- Experience in Agile and Waterfall environments.
- Excellent verbal, presentation, and written communication skills.
- Experience integrating new capabilities onto UAS platforms.
- Project planning experience (schedule, budget, resources).
- Strong leadership and ability to inspire staff.
Responsibilities
- Act as the technical authority for the PSDS products.
- Lead engineers across the total product lifecycle.
- Develop concepts of operations feeding product roadmaps.
- Chair technical review boards and drive technical requirements.
- Serve as a functional leader to Product Line Chief Engineers.
