Job summary

Neurophos, Inc. seeks a Chief Engineer to own the technical execution of the first fully integrated prototype system spanning optical sources, electro‑optic modulation, high‑speed mixed‑signal electronics, and firmware/host software.

You will coordinate internal teams and external partners to meet architecture, performance budgets, and schedule objectives. The role is hands‑on engineering leadership, requiring deep hardware intuition, experimental rigor, and the ability to translate bench

Qualifications

• 15+ years building multi-disciplinary hardware systems.
• Own system budgets and interface control from architecture to bring‑up.
• Experience leading external design houses and vendors.
• Strong knowledge of analog/digital, optical, and packaging domains.
• Ability to review schematics and challenge design choices.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end system performance budget and trade studies.
• Define architecture, interfaces, and subsystem requirements.
• Lead design reviews, verify budgets, and drive deliverables.
• Oversee hardware–software alignment and simulation models.
• Plan integration, bring‑up, and validation campaigns.
• Mentor engineers and raise systems engineering rigor.
• Maintain an instrumented, configurable experimental platform.
