Job summary

Fluidstack is seeking an experienced engineering leader to own the clean-sheet design of LV switchboards and busway platforms for production readiness within 12 months.

You will drive NRTL listing campaigns, coordinate cross-functional teams, and manage documentation while working with localization groups to ensure robust, scalable data center modules and cooling systems.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field is preferred.
• Experience bringing LV switchboards to UL 891 or UL 857 listing from start to finish.
• Strong ability to design for manufacturability in high-volume production.

Responsibilities

• Own the clean-sheet design of LV switchboards and busway platforms for production.
• Lead a dedicated engineering team through a compressed release schedule.
• Coordinate NRTL listing, test campaigns, and documentation in parallel.
• Drive end-to-end listing programs including test plans, witness testing, and certification files.
• Define design upgrades with localization teams and ensure robust interconnect points and seismic anchorage.
• Collaborate with third‑party vendors to deliver consistent products across data center fleets.

Job description

• Own the clean-sheet design of Fluidstack's UL 891 LV switchboard and UL 857 distribution busway platforms
• Release both platforms for production within 12 months
• Run design, NRTL listing, and short-circuit test campaigns in parallel
• Lead a dedicated team of electrical and mechanical engineers with shared drafting, compliance, and test staff
• Drive listing programs end to end, including test plans, NRTL witness testing, follow-up service setup, and certification files
• Define design upgrades and particularities with localization teams, including interconnect points, protection interfaces, transport and rigging limits, and seismic anchorage
• Work with third-party authorized vendors to deliver consistent products across Fluidstack's data center fleet
• Build and productize data center modules, switchgear, switchboards, busway, skids, E-Houses, and cooling systems

Requirements

• Experience designing LV switchboards or busway at an OEM
• Personally carried a product through UL 891 or UL 857 listing from start to finish
• Experience running short-circuit withstand and temperature rise test campaigns
• Experience redesigning bus, bracing, or joints after failed testing
• Experience making contact system, joint, and plating decisions for busway durability
• Experience designing for manufacturability at volume, including sheet metal, plating, torque specifications, and assembly sequences
• Experience leading a product team through a compressed release schedule
• Ability to maintain test evidence despite schedule pressure
• Ability to write clear ratings documentation and configuration rules
• Authorization to work in the United States
