Job summary

Little Ocmulgee State Park & Lodge, in partnership with Coral Hospitality, seeks a hands‑on Chief Engineer to lead the Engineering Department and oversee maintenance, operations, and facility improvements across lodge, cabins, and grounds.

The ideal candidate will manage preventive maintenance programs, supervise staff, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance while coordinating with managers to minimize guest disruption. On‑site housing benefits the right candidate.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in engineering, facilities management, or maintenance leadership.
• Experience in hospitality, resorts, hotels, or state parks.
• Ability to read blueprints, manuals, and equipment specs.
• Budget management and purchasing experience.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.
• CPO/UST/EPA certifications or obtain within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop Engineering Department staff.
• Develop and implement a comprehensive preventive maintenance program for lodge facilities.
• Plan, coordinate, and oversee maintenance projects, renovations, and capital improvements.
• Monitor budgets, project schedules, and staffing requirements.
• Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and environmental requirements.
• Assist during emergencies and provide MOD coverage as needed.
