Job summary
HEI Hotels and Resorts in Orlando is seeking a Chief Engineer to supervise the hotel's preventive maintenance and repairs, ensuring life-safety systems and utilities comply with corporate standards and local codes. You will manage engineering projects and budgetary control while protecting assets, guests, and associates.
Lead the engineering team, coordinate with other departments, and stay current with technology to improve operations.
Qualifications
- 3+ years hands-on experience at a comparable location.
- Knowledge of hotel operations, security and safety programs, budget forecasting and quality assurance.
- Skilled in HVAC, electrical, carpentry, drywalling, painting, plumbing, roofing, and landscaping.
Responsibilities
- Oversee preventive maintenance and repairs of the hotel property and equipment.
- Monitor life safety systems and utilities and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Manage engineering related capital projects and budgets.
- Train, supervise and develop engineering staff; assign tasks and follow up.
- Maintain records for RAM, PM programs and capital projects.
