Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a Chief Engineer for Advanced Effects (Hypersonics) to drive technical and programmatic execution across missile design, fabrication, test, and sustainment. You will assemble multidisciplinary teams of internal and external SMEs and guide them toward a shared technical vision in fast-paced defense programs.

Qualifications

• Deep understanding of Missile Development or Robotics/consumer electronics.
• Experience in a senior role leading programs from concept through test and delivery to customers.
• Experience driving strategic direction in competitive landscapes, solving complex system optimization challenges under tight constraints.
• Proven ability to deliver functional capabilities while aligning technical objectives with programmatic outcomes.
• Demonstrated collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of Vehicle and Systems design.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical and programmatic execution of new and existing missile designs, fabrication, test, productization and sustainment.
• Own the technical and programmatic success of programs, assemble teams of internal and external SMEs, and communicate vision.
• Set up trades to enable exploration of early conceptual designs with Business Development teams to address gaps for current and future conflicts.
• Manage detailed design of the system and subsystems including requirements development, trades and optimization, risk management.
• Coordinate fabrication of prototype and low-rate production articles and subsystem/system level tests.
• Support remotely deployed operations of your systems.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to ensure resource plans are adequate for work scope.
