Job summary

Fairmont El San Juan Hotel in Isla Verde, Puerto Rico, seeks a Director of Engineering to lead all technical and safety operations. You will manage budgets, supervise staff, ensure ADA and local compliance, and drive energy conservation across the property.

This position offers leadership responsibilities with opportunities for growth across Accor properties worldwide and involvement in asset enhancement initiatives shaping the guest experience for decades to come.

Qualifications

• 4-year college degree and at least 1 year of related management experience; or a 2-year college degree and 3 or more years of related management experience.
• Five (5) years of progressive facilities management experience or related area.
• Engineer's license preferred
• CPR/1st Aid Certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Administer all administrative, financial and operating aspects of the hotel's engineering division.
• Create, approve and post all Engineering staff schedules and annual department budget.
• Develop financial forecasts and participate in monthly profit/loss reviews.
• Develop and implement plans to maintain property, equipment and assets.
• Ensure compliance with all laws and energy conservation programs.
• Supervise and train Engineering staff in customer service, SOPs and loss prevention.
• Participate in the M.O.D. program and special projects/renovations.
