Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Chief Engineer to lead the engineering strategy and execution across all AEGIS technologies for NASA and Leidos stakeholders. The role involves guiding modernization initiatives and managing a large engineering team to ensure enterprise services meet mission needs.

The Chief Engineer will develop and maintain the technology roadmap, align work with contract obligations, and foster collaboration across leadership and teams to drive innovation in cloud, data centers, networks,

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and 12+ years of relevant experience.
7+ years leading a large engineering team in IT/enterprise environments.
Strong leadership, attention to detail, and ability to work under deadlines.
Excellent analytical, budgeting, and organizational skills.
Experience in strategic planning and building customer relationships.
Experience executing development programs in an Agile environment.
Experience with ETC/EAC estimates and briefing leadership.

Responsibilities

Lead engineering across all AEGIS technologies including data centers, cloud, networking, VoIP, cybersecurity, and collaboration services.
Guide governance and policy; ensure alignment with NASA direction and contract obligations.
Develop and manage the technology roadmap for enterprise services.
Mentor engineers and foster a culture of innovation and technical excellence.
Communicate status, risks, and decisions to NASA and Leidos leadership.
