MXI Partners is seeking a Chief Engineer to lead critical facility operations in the greater Columbus area. You will be the senior technical on-site lead, owning day-to-day operations and directing a large team of engineers and technicians.

The role is on-site, with responsibilities spanning power, cooling, safety, and vendor management. You will drive maintenance programs, incident response, and process improvements while supporting customers and stakeholders.

Formación

• 10+ years in mission critical operations.
• 3+ years leading MEP operations in a Tier III, colocation, or hyperscale data center.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of critical electrical and mechanical systems.
• Experience with CMMS and BMS and formal incident/change management processes.

Responsabilidades

MXI Partners is supporting a well-established data center operator that is expanding its infrastructure footprint in Ohio.

They're looking for a Chief Engineer to lead critical facility operations. You'll be the senior technical lead on site, owning how it runs from day one and directing a large team of engineers and technicians.

The role is on-sight and based in the greater Columbus area.

THE ROLE

• Lead day-to-day operations and maintenance of a mission critical facility
• Take ownership of the full critical infrastructure: medium voltage, switchgear, UPS, generators, power distribution, cooling, and fire and life safety
• Build and run the site's maintenance program, operating procedures, and change management
• Lead incident response and act as the escalation point for critical events
• Manage contract technicians and vendors, and be the main on-site contact for customers
• Drive efficiency and reliability improvements across the site
• Join an on-call rotation for out-of-hours support

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

• 10+ years in mission critical operations
• 3+ years leading MEP operations in a Tier III, colocation, or hyperscale data center
• Strong hands-on knowledge of critical electrical and mechanical systems
• Experience with CMMS, BMS, and formal incident/change management processes
• Confident communicator who can lead conversations with customers and vendors
• Experience across a range of power, mechanical, switchgear, generator and safety equipment
