Job summary

JLL is seeking a Chief Engineer to lead operations at the Truist Data Center in Wilson, NC. You will manage a team of engineers, drive uptime, safety, and reliability of critical infrastructure including power distribution, UPS, generators, HVAC, and building controls.

This role requires strong leadership, contractor oversight, and a track record in mission-critical facilities. You will coordinate maintenance, monitor performance, and ensure compliance with safety standards while delivering

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
Minimum 5 years of experience in critical facilities, data centers, or mission-critical environments.
Supervisory/leadership experience managing engineering teams.

Responsibilities

Lead the engineering team to ensure uptime, safety, and reliability of critical infrastructure.
Oversee operations including UPS, emergency generators, switchgear, PDU, HVAC, and building controls.
Manage contractors and vendors; ensure safety and compliance with site requirements.
Maintain engineering logs, reports, and performance metrics; communicate with client leadership.
