Job summary

Booz Allen is seeking a Chief Engineer to act as the senior technical authority for a large defense cybersecurity program. You will own the end-to-end architectural vision, oversee Zero Trust capabilities across multiple teams, and ensure secure, compliant, and interoperable solutions.

You will lead cross-functional engineers, guide strategy with DoD programs, and ensure alignment with contracts and governance standards. An active TS/SCI clearance is required for this role.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in cybersecurity engineering or architecture.
• 5+ years in a Chief Engineer, Principal Architect, or senior technical leadership role on a large-scale enterprise program.
• Experience in DoW, IC, or civilian agency environments.
• Experience in multiple domains: network security, SIEM/SOAR, EDR/XDR, cloud security (AWS/Azure GovCloud).
• Knowledge of federal contract structures (T&M, FFP, CPFF).
• Active TS/SCI clearance; polygraph willingness.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical authority for 20+ cyber projects and define the technical roadmap and architecture.
• Lead end-to-end Zero Trust design, testing, deployment, and sustainment across tools.
• Oversee Agile ITSM lifecycle management and ensure service improvements.
• Partner with acquisition teams to evaluate and procure tools while ensuring security standards.
• Lead large-scale testing, vulnerability assessments, and interoperability testing.
• Establish sustainment practices for maintenance, patching, and optimization of tools.
• Coordinate with Program Manager on scope, contract alignment, and governance; deliver architecture reviews.
