Job summary

Keystone Distinction Group is seeking a Maintenance Chief Engineer for a commercial laundry operation in the Gary, IN area. You will lead the maintenance department, oversee daily repairs, PMs and safety, and drive a proactive program to keep plant equipment running reliably.

As a hands-on leader, you’ll supervise technicians, coordinate with other departments, manage energy use and contribute to capital planning. Relocation assistance is available for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• 3+ years maintenance management experience.
• Commercial laundry experience is required.
• Must have a preventive maintenance mindset and experience managing a PM program.
• Previous supervisory/management experience required.
• Strong electrical troubleshooting ability of 3 phase 230 volt systems.
• PLC programming experience.
• Experience in carpentry, boiler repair, welding, and general facility repairs.
• Team-oriented with initiative and commitment to quality.

• Monitoring and ensuring the efficient use of all utilities, practicing energy conservation through usage reduction and cost control.
• Recommend and communicate to senior management on capital expenditures, equipment, parts, supplies, and materials.

Client is searching for a Maintenance Chief Engineer for a commercial laundry operation in the Gary, IN area.

As a chief engineer you’re the leader of the maintenance department where you will develop and facilitate mechanical needs between all departments.

Job Summary

The Chief Engineer has overall responsibility for the daily repair and preventative maintenance of industrial textile processing equipment and facility maintenance and guides the maintenance team by providing training, direction and leadership. They will ensure all vendor services and contractors are compliant with the mission, objectives, policies and procedures of the Company as well as all regulatory requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities

Requirements

• 3+ years Maintenance Management experience with specific knowledge of machinery, electricity, electronics, plumbing, hydraulics, pneumatics, welder and boiler applications.
• Commercial laundry experience is required.
• Must have a preventive maintenance mindset, and experience managing a PM program in this industry or a similar industry.
• Previous supervisory/management experience is required. Proven ability to lead and train a team of maintenance technicians.
• Strong electrical troubleshooting ability of 3 phase 230 volt systems.
• PLC programming experience.
• Experience in carpentry, boiler repair, welding, and general facility repairs.
• Must be a team player with enthusiasm, initiative, and pride in work well done; self-starter dedicated to continual quality improvement.
