Job summary

Midi Health is seeking a Director of Engineering, Clinical AI & Care Delivery to lead the engineering teams powering clinicians, medical assistants, and care workflows in a fast-evolving healthcare platform.

You will balance hands-on technical leadership with strategic roadmapping, partnering with Product, Clinical, Operations, and Data Science to translate complex care delivery challenges into scalable AI-enabled solutions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of engineering management experience.
• Experience with AI/ML engineering, LLM-powered products, agentic systems, or workflow automation.
• Experience with Python, Django, React, and AWS.
• Experience building internal tools for complex operational users.
• Healthcare experience or another highly regulated environment is preferred.
• Familiarity with HIPAA-regulated systems and clinical workflows.

Responsibilities

• Lead the engineering roadmap and execution for clinician-facing tools and AI-powered automation.
• Identify opportunities to use AI and agentic systems to automate workflows and augment clinicians.
• Build and lead high-performing engineering teams with ownership and high technical standards.
• Stay hands-on through architecture decisions, code reviews and prototyping.
• Partner with Product, Clinical, Operations, and Data Science to translate complex care problems into scalable tech solutions.
• Drive engineering quality, velocity, reliability, and operational health.
• Hire, mentor, and develop engineers and leaders as the organization grows.
• Collaborate on architecture, technical strategy, and company-wide priorities.
• Help define how Midi uses AI and modern development tools to rethink healthcare delivery.
