Job summary

MITRE’s IADE Division seeks a Chief Engineer to align activities across MNS, MPS, and MITRE Labs, ensuring high‑quality technical outputs for national security programs. You will lead major technical areas, drive strategic IADE initiatives, and coordinate with stakeholders and sponsors to maximize mission impact.

Minimum 15 years of experience with advanced degrees or equivalent, and an active Top Secret/SCI clearance are expected.

Qualifications

Minimum of 15 years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree; or 12 years with a master’s; or 10 years with a PhD, or equivalent.
Ability to drive innovation and partner with internal, academia, and industry to leverage capabilities.
Active Top Secret/SCI clearance or ability to obtain; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

Define, adapt, and implement a technical quality program across IADE projects.
Provide assessment of project activities and recommend optimal use of staff and resources.
Collaborate with Chief Engineers across MNS, MPS, and MITRE Labs to define technical norms.
Lead key technical areas across AFC and manage cross‑domain connections (space, cyber).
Develop IADE lab, infrastructure, and tools/training strategy; influence sponsor outcomes.
Shaping IADE division strategy and align with MITRE Mission Critical Programs.
