O’Reilly Hospitality Management, LLC is hiring a Chief Engineer for the Moxy Springfield Downtown location. The role oversees and maintains hotel maintenance operations, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and preventive maintenance, while ensuring safety standards and regulatory compliance.

The Chief Engineer will lead and train maintenance staff, manage budgets and purchases, and coordinate with other departments to meet operational needs.

Competenze

• Must pass pre-employment drug screening.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• HVAC/plumbing/electrical repair certificate preferred.
• Minimum 2 years supervisory experience in maintenance and 3 years in trades.

Now Hiring: Chief Engineer
Location: Moxy Springfield Downtown

• Oversee and maintain hotel maintenance operations, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and preventive maintenance for all equipment and facilities.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, building codes, and company policies.
• Manage departmental budget and expense plans, adhering to capital expenditure procedures.
• Lead the Safety program and coordinate with other departments to meet operational needs.
• Maintain security of the hotel by managing door locks, key security, and asset protection.
• Supervise and train team members, providing guidance on scheduling, material ordering, and project completion.
• Maintain documentation of all systems and equipment, ensuring up-to-date records.
• Familiarize yourself with blueprints, contracts, and specifications.
• Resolve guest issues promptly, ensuring a high level of service.
• Embrace and promote company culture, including O'Reach, Green Team, Guest Service, and Safety initiatives.
• Perform other duties as required.

Skills & Abilities:

• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).

Requirements, Education, & Experience:

• Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening in accordance with Company policy and applicable law.
• A valid driver's license is required.
• Certificate from a Vocational Institution in HVAC, plumbing, or electrical repair preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in maintenance and 3 years in relevant trades, or equivalent education/experience.

Hours:

• Flexible schedule, including nights and weekends. Must respond to emergencies as needed.

Physical Requirements:

• Heavy work, including lifting up to 100 pounds occasionally and 50 pounds frequently.

Physical Activities:

• Frequent climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, and repetitive motion.

Visual Acuity & Environmental Conditions:

• Close visual acuity required for inspection, data analysis, and equipment operation.
• Work occurs both indoors and outdoors, with exposure to hazards such as moving mechanical parts, electrical current, and chemicals.
