Job summary

Burgess recruitment is urgently seeking a Chief Engineer for a 50m motor yacht. Start date is immediate. Location is South Florida, with flexibility for those already based there, but open to candidates from elsewhere.

This temporary assignment runs 1–2 months, with private/light charter duties, local cruising and Bahamas itineraries. Salary is USD 11,000 and leave is 48 days. Must hold up-to-date certificates including CE Y3 and a valid B1/B2 visa.

Qualifications

• All certificates up to date plus CE Y3 required.
• Previous yachting experience essential.
• Mangusta experience is a plus.
• Strong engineering background and practical mechanical aptitude.
• Strong work ethic and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• B1/B2 visa required.
