Job summary

Hyatt Centric Park City seeks an Assistant Director of Engineering to lead the hotel’s engineering team, overseeing HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, and electrical systems, ensuring safe, efficient operations and compliance. You will drive preventive maintenance, coordinate with departments, and support capital projects while maintaining records and responding to emergencies.

Ideal candidates have 2–3 years of engineering management in luxury hospitality, strong leadership, and fluency in English,

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of engineering management experience in a luxury hotel.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Knowledge of HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, electrical systems.
• Experience with hotel building systems, soldering and brazing preferred.
• Universal Refrigeration Certification and CPO certification preferred.
• Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to train and mentor team members.
• Proficiency with mechanical equipment, maintenance tools, and work-order systems.
• Fluent English communication; bilingual a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee interior, exterior, and building systems including HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, and electrical.
• Lead Engineering team; manage daily operations and maintenance activities.
• Maintain preventive maintenance records and compliance with OSHA, fire, environmental, and local safety regulations.
• Support capital projects and equipment replacement planning; respond to emergencies as needed.

The Assistant Director of Engineering oversees the hotel’s interior, exterior, and building systems, including HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, and electrical. This role leads the Engineering team, manages daily operations, and directs routine, preventive, and emergency maintenance to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable hotel operations.

The Assistant Director of Engineering also manages preventive maintenance records. This position assists with compliance with OSHA, fire, environmental, and local safety regulations; supports capital projects and equipment replacement planning; and responds to emergencies as needed.
