The Chief Engineer will lead complex designs, risk management, and continuous improvement of geotechnical systems and methodologies, guiding regional projects and teams.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of geotechnical engineering or related experience.
• 10+ years in leadership, managing senior engineers or engineering functions.
• Deep technical expertise in ground improvement and foundation systems.
• PE licensure required; Master’s in Civil/Geotechnical Eng.

Our client, a geotechnical ground improvement solutions company, is looking for a Chief Engineer.

The Chief Engineer serves as the company’s highest-level and most senior technical advisor and expert, providing expert guidance, proactive mentorship, and strategic insight across all geotechnical engineering activities. Ideally based out the Greater Charlotte, NC area.

Responsibilities

• Provide Leadership Team level support and mentorship to engineering and technical leaders and resources across the organization

Education, qualifications and requirements

• 10+ years of leadership experience, including management of senior engineers, technical teams, or engineering functions
• Deep technical expertise in ground improvement, foundation systems, and geotechnical design and construction practices
• Demonstrated ability to lead engineering organizations through growth, complexity, and change
• Strong judgment in technical decision-making and risk management
• Professional Engineer
• Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or Geotechnical Engineering
