Job summary

Google seeks a Technical Program Manager to lead cross-functional energy projects across global markets. You will plan requirements with internal customers and manage the full project lifecycle, from scoping to delivery, while communicating risks to executives.

You will oversee a team of quantitative analysts and grid modelers, work with procurement, operations, sustainability, and finance, and help shape pricing and risk strategies for a multi‑gigawatt energy portfolio.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
• 10 years of experience in program management.
• 7 years of experience in leadership roles with direct reports.
• Experience with Python.
• Experience with production cost modeling software applications such as PLEXOS or PROMOD.
• Experience with Regional Transmission Organizations (RTOs) and Transmission System Operators (TSOs), and their market structures, rules, and regulatory environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute risk frameworks across Google's energy portfolio.
• Drive long-term electricity price forecasting using grid modeling to simulate scenarios.
• Partner with procurement, operations, sustainability, and finance to integrate risk and pricing insights into agreement negotiations.
• Translate complex modeling and risk metrics into clear, actionable insights for executive decision-making.
• Manage, mentor, and grow a specialized team of quantitative analysts, grid modelers, and energy risk professionals.
