Job summary

ERock is seeking an exceptionally accomplished Chief Electrical Engineer to provide executive technical leadership across all electrical engineering functions for our distributed energy and microgrid solutions. You will define the long-term vision, drive innovation, and ensure safety and reliability in HV, MV, and LV systems while guiding a world-class engineering team.

You will champion grid interconnection strategies, advanced protection and control, and compliance with NEC/IEEE/IEC; mentor

Qualifications

• Master’s or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering; exceptional Bachelor’s with exec experience considered.
• 15+ years electrical engineering experience; 8+ years in senior leadership in power/energy.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Deep expertise in HV/MV/LV power distribution and grid interconnection.
• Proven ability to manage multiple engineering programs and initiatives.
• Strong business acumen; translate tech strategies into business outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Providing executive technical leadership and strategic direction for all electrical engineering.
• Defining long-term technical roadmap for electrical systems.
• Serving as the ultimate technical authority on complex electrical engineering matters.
• Overseeing HV/MV/LV designs and ensuring safety.
• Driving strategies for generator integration with utility grids.
• Leading development of protection, control systems, and cybersecurity.
• Conducting power system studies to ensure performance.
• Mentoring and empowering a high-performing electrical engineering team.
• Building relationships with executives, product, project management, and clients.
• Representing ERock as technical expert at industry events.
• Ensuring compliance with NEC, IEEE, UL, IEC, NESC.
• Substation design expertise valued for planning and review.
