City of Cheyenne is seeking the Downtown Development Authority Executive Director to lead a dynamic organization focused on downtown Cheyenne’s revitalization. You will steer strategic planning, manage staff and contracted services, and partner with the City to advance the Downtown Plan of Development.

The role emphasizes fiscal stewardship, grant administration, and insightful public communications to promote a vibrant district and foster economic development.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership and management of the Downtown Development Authority; supervise staff and contracted services.
• Lead development and implementation of short- and long-range plans aligned with Board direction and community needs.
• oversee annual budget development and monitoring with the City and Board approvals.
• Foster redevelopment initiatives through executive-level relationships with property owners, developers, and public partners.
• Direct planning initiatives and grant-funded projects to meet adopted plans and funding requirements.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and transparent reporting to the Board and community.
• Serve as the primary spokesperson for the DDA in media, government, and public relations.
• Execute the Comprehensive Communications Strategy to promote the Downtown District and investment opportunities.
