Job summary

Girls Inc. of New York City seeks a Chief Development Officer to lead the organization's fund development and income strategy in New York. The role partners with the President/CEO and board to drive philanthropy, secure unrestricted and restricted gifts, and grow annual giving toward a $20M target.

The position is full-time, exempt, located in NYC with a 2-day hybrid schedule. It requires a track record in major gifts, institutional giving, and comprehensive donor stewardship while collaborating

Qualifications

• Ten or more years of fundraising experience.
• Experience in strategic philanthropy, major gifts, donor stewardship, and long-range planning.
• Advanced degree in related field or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the President/CEO and Board leadership to set high standards of philanthropy within Girls Inc.
• Monitor philanthropic trends and develop fundraising strategies to maximize income.
• Solicit gifts.
• Increase annual giving levels to reach approximately $20 million.
• Formulate, coordinate and monitor all fund development programs within Girls Incorporated.
• Manage major gifts & planned giving programs.
• Oversee annual fund strategies and events.
• Coordinate institutional giving and capital campaigns.
• Collaborate with executive leadership to set income plans.
• Ensure donor stewardship and reporting.
• Oversee data management and fundraising records.
• Work with marketing to publish fundraising materials.
• Support fundraising alignment with affiliates.
