Job summary

Presbyterian Communities of South Carolina (PCSC) seeks a Senior Vice President of Development to lead the Foundation's fundraising strategy and philanthropic growth across PCSC. This executive reports to the CEO and works with the leadership team to advance mission-centered philanthropy.

The role focuses on strategic fundraising, donor engagement, and major campaigns, including planned giving and church relations, with accountability for board reporting and budget oversight.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Minimum five years of fundraising or funds development experience.
  • Demonstrated experience working effectively with faith-based organizations.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and willingness to develop intermediate skills with Raiser’s Edge NXT.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute long-term philanthropic strategy to increase charitable giving, planned gifts, and donor engagement.
  • Lead the vision, design, and execution of major funds, annual fundraising priorities, and capital campaigns.
  • Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward major donor prospects statewide through personal visits and relationship-building.
  • Oversee donor records, gift acknowledgments, and financial stewardship practices in alignment with donor intent.
