Job summary

Ivy Tech Community College–Columbus Campus is seeking the Vice Chancellor of Development to lead major gift fundraising, portfolio management, and donor stewardship in support of the campus’ philanthropic goals.

The role reports to the Chancellor, works with Ivy Tech Foundation and statewide initiatives, and drives a comprehensive campus advancement strategy, while managing a team and partnerships across the college and foundation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Seven years of progressively responsible fundraising and leadership experience.
• Experience managing a portfolio of major gift prospects and moving donors through the full fundraising cycle.
• Ability to advise and partner with senior leaders on fundraising strategy and donor engagement.
• Strong knowledge of major gift fundraising, campaign strategy, and donor stewardship.
• Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
• Commitment to ethical fundraising and an inclusive environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage an active portfolio of major gift prospects and donors.
• Lead campus advancement strategy aligned with Columbus priorities and statewide initiatives.
• Develop donor strategies to move prospects through qualification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship.
• Lead gift discussions and negotiate with Foundation and College leadership.
• Maintain accurate records of donor interactions and proposals in CRM.
• Lead campus development team and coordinate with Systems Office Foundation teams.
