Job summary

Ivy Tech Community College of Indiana – Columbus campus seeks a Vice Chancellor of Development (VCD), the senior advancement executive and lead major gift fundraiser. Reporting to the Chancellor, the VCD provides strategic leadership for the campus philanthropic program and builds relationships with donors, corporations, alumni, and community partners.

The role manages a major gifts portfolio and leads a comprehensive campus advancement strategy, aligning Columbus priorities with Ivy Tech

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of seven years of progressively responsible experience in fundraising, advancement, philanthropy, nonprofit management, or a related field, including leadership responsibility.
• Experience managing a portfolio of major gift prospects and moving donors through the full fundraising cycle.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and manage a qualified fundraising pipeline and achieve measurable fundraising goals.

Responsibilities

• Manage an active portfolio of qualified major gift prospects and donors, including five- to six-figure commitments.
• Lead campus advancement strategy and donor engagement aligned with Columbus priorities and statewide initiatives.
• Lead, develop, and mentor the campus Development team to foster a high-performing culture.
• Build relationships with donors, alumni, community leaders, foundations, and volunteers to advance the College’s mission.
• Ensure donor and prospect records, gift administration, reporting, and related processes are accurate and compliant.
