We are looking for an experienced development executive to join our team as Chief Development Officer.

This role will oversee our development team and be responsible for all aspects of the development process, including pre-development, development, closing, post-closing, and any asset management activities post-closing.

Qualifications / Education:

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Real Estate, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field, with a minimum of ten (10) years of experience in real estate development, including at least five (5) years leading a development team. Experience in multi-family real estate development and related financing programs such as Low Income Housing Tax Credits, Tax-Exempt Bonds, and FHA loan programs is required. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Must possess a valid driver's license and meet company driving standards.

Development Process:
  1. Establish Schedule and Critical Dates
  2. Lead Development Team in Weekly Progress Meetings
  3. Coordinate with City / Obtain Entitlements
Closing Process:
  1. Negotiate Term Sheets
  2. Document Negotiation
  3. Closing
Post-Closing Activities:
  1. Investor Relations
  2. Loan Conversions
  3. Manage Equity Installments and Due Diligence
  4. Execute Partnership Requirements (e.g., TDHCA)
  5. Investor Reporting and Communication
  6. Bank, HUD, and TDHCA Reporting
Asset Management / Post-Completion:
  1. Monitor Property Performance and Coordinate Management
  2. Refinancing Negotiations and Due Diligence
General Responsibilities:
  1. Manage Development Team
  2. Engage with Trade Organizations (TAAHP, NIC, etc.)
