Job summary

thread seeks a Chief Development and Marketing Officer in Alaska to lead Marketing and Communications, Public Policy, and Fund Development. You will guide brand strategy, donor engagement, and policy advocacy while partnering across programs to maximize mission impact.

You will oversee a diverse team, manage major partnerships, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive fundraising programs to meet annual goals, with significant leadership responsibilities and community engagement.

Qualifications

• BA required; MA/MS preferred in Business, Communications, Marketing, Nonprofit Administration, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in nonprofit development/advancement, fundraising and program oversight.
• Experience managing multiple stakeholders and cultivating new relationships.
• Grant management and fundraising experience required.
• Office/database programs experience; Salesforce and design tools preferred.
• Supervisory experience required.

Responsibilities

• Define goals and strategic direction with CEO and board.
• Lead Marketing & Communications, Public Policy, and Fund Development teams.
• Oversee partnerships with media, donors, policymakers and partners.
• Set performance metrics and monitor results.
• Manage brand reputation and external communications.
• Oversee day-to-day operations, budgeting, and deliverables of departments.
