Job summary

Ampact, a national nonprofit, seeks a Vice President of Development and Marketing to lead fundraising and brand strategy nationwide. This remote role requires residency in Ampact states and will oversee foundation, corporate, and individual giving with a focus on sustainable revenue and donor engagement.

The VP will coach two managers, partner with the President and board, and align programs across development, marketing, and communications to advance Ampact’s mission.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree as specified.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership in nonprofit development or advancement.
• Proven success building multi-channel fundraising programs with measurable results.
• Experience overseeing marketing, communications, or brand strategy in mission-driven organizations.
• Strong ability to build relationships with major donors, foundations, and corporate partners.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a national fundraising strategy across foundation, corporate, and individual giving.
• Set annual and multi-year fundraising goals aligned with the strategic plan.
• Oversee donor cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship to deepen engagement.
• Guide marketing, communications, and brand positioning to support fundraising and mission impact.
• Lead and mentor development and marketing teams, collaborating with executive leadership and the board.
• Represent the organization externally with donors and partners.
