Job summary

Second Helpings, Inc. is seeking a Chief Development Officer to lead fund development, marketing, communications, and events. You will craft an integrated advancement strategy to grow revenue, strengthen donor relationships, and elevate the Second Helpings brand.

The CDO partners with the CEO and Board to translate goals into measurable advancement results. You will lead an advancement team, set direction, build capacity, and ensure accountability while maintaining a focus on long-term

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree, CFRE, or relevant certification preferred.
• Significant experience leading and developing teams, including hiring, coaching, and performance management.
• Demonstrated success with major gifts and relationship-based fundraising.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategy for fundraising, marketing, communications, and events.
• Develop and manage a diversified revenue portfolio and donor pipeline.
• Oversee grant strategy, reporting, and opportunity identification.
