Job summary

Community Health Centers is seeking a Chief Dental Officer (CDO) to provide clinical leadership and oversight for our dental program, advancing high-quality, safe, accessible, and patient-centered care. The CDO will collaborate on strategic planning, budgeting, and operational initiatives while providing direct patient care and clinical consultation as needed.

The role requires leading clinical policies, quality assurance, and compliance with HRSA and regulatory standards, while mentoring staff

Qualifications

• DDS or DMD degree from CODA-accredited program.
• Minimum 4 years of upper-level management experience.
• Licensed to practice dentistry in Florida; BLS certification.
• Maintains applicable DEA registration if required.

Responsibilities

• Provides clinical leadership and oversight for the dental program and ensures high-quality, safe, accessible, patient-centered care.
• Ensures services comply with regulatory requirements and scope-of-practice rules.
• Leads quality assurance, peer review, infection control, patient safety, and risk management activities.
• Partners on strategic planning, budgeting, and operational initiatives for the dental program.
• Represents CHC with academic partners, community organizations, and external stakeholders.
• Mentors and supervises dental staff and fosters workforce development.
