Job summary

Octave is seeking a Head of Data Platform & AI to lead the technical vision across data platform, AI/ML, and Data Science. You will own the strategy, build the team, and work with Product and business leaders to drive value.

You will lead the Data Platform, establish engineering practices, and ensure scalable, secure, observable data products. This role requires hands-on leadership and strong collaboration across the company.

Qualifications

• 8+ years building data platforms and AI capabilities in high-growth tech environments.
• Demonstrated experience architecting modern data platforms and production data systems.
• Experience translating product needs into technically solid AI/ML initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Define Octave’s Data & AI Technical Vision and roadmap.
• Lead the Data Platform team and mentor engineers.
• Establish engineering practices around data quality, testing, and observability.
• Partner with Product and business leaders to deliver AI-driven customer value.
• Ensure scalable, secure data products and governance.
