Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking a Director of Architecture to lead Data and AI architecture, driving impact across teams, technologies, and projects. You will be the primary decision maker for your area and a driver of innovation toward the target state architecture goals.

You will guide data and AI strategy, govern architecture decisions, and partner with product and engineering teams to deliver complex, scalable solutions at JPMorganChase in the Palo Alto area.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of software/solution architecture experience.
• 5+ years architecting large-scale data analytics platforms.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in CS/Engineering or related field.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams of architects and talent.
• Experience guiding enterprise AI capabilities with governance.
• Product Owner/Manager experience in a technology setting.
• Practical cloud-native experience across major platforms.

Responsibilities

• Sets the direction for Data architecture across transactional and analytics apps.
• Drives AI enablement at the data layer using Search, Vector, and Graph data stores.
• Leads implementations with governance on coding decisions, cost, and reliability.
• Leads reuse-first adoption of enterprise AI capabilities with human-in-the-loop validation and data sensitivity awareness.
• Makes and is accountable for resource, budget, and process decisions affecting delivery.
• Establishes governance standards for AI-assisted workflows, ensuring traceability, resiliency, and security.
