Job summary

State Street is seeking a Managing Director, Head of Cryptography to define and govern enterprise cryptography, key management, and modernization across cloud and on‑prem environments. You will lead a global program ensuring confidentiality, integrity, and resilience of critical systems.

The role requires executive leadership, strategic thinking, and deep cryptography expertise to partner with Infrastructure, Cloud, IAM, Data, and Risk teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, Eng, InfoSec, or Math.
• Advanced cryptography and security knowledge.
• Experience leading enterprise cryptography programs.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the firm's cryptography strategy, roadmap, and governance.
• Lead enterprise cryptography modernization initiatives across cloud and on‑prem environments.
• Establish enterprise key management and secrets management services.
• Drive adoption of automated cryptographic lifecycle capabilities and secure migrations.
• Partner with architecture and security teams to embed cryptographic controls by design.
