Job summary

The Symicor Group seeks a Chief Credit Officer based in Memphis, TN to lead the credit department and oversee loan risk management. This senior role reports to executive leadership and directs policy and training for underwriting standards.

Offering a base salary up to $185K plus an excellent benefits package, the position is not remote and requires extensive experience in financial/credit analysis, lending, and management within a bank setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from a 4-year college or university.
• Ten+ years of related work experience in financial/credit analysis and lending.
• Management experience required.
• Heavy experience with C&I lending required.
• Loan workout experience and SBA knowledge preferred.
• Completion of formal bank management executive school or related degree preferred.
• Ability to create and analyze credit presentations, loan policies, and procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret business periodicals, journals, or regulations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee loan risk management to minimize losses and ensure quality control.
• Maintain loan policy and procedures to ensure underwriting compliance with laws and regulations.
• Stay current on regulatory changes and market trends; update team and policies as needed.
• Inform President/Board/Loan Committee of material portfolio considerations.
• Develop and oversee internal credit training; hire and coach staff.
• Ensure loans are properly documented for covenant compliance and safety.
• Oversee impairment analysis and loan packet development.
• Review loans prior to External Loan Committee meetings.
• Oversee stress tests and annual large loan reviews.
• Lead loan review efforts and train internal loan reviewers.
• Coordinate continuing education and training sessions for staff.
• Maintain Disaster Recovery Plan employee data.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
