Job summary

STACK INFRASTRUCTURE seeks a Director of Construction Safety to lead the development of a forward-thinking safety program for construction activities. You will drive partnerships with construction teams and 3rd party EHS professionals to elevate safety standards and ensure regulatory compliance.

You will mentor safety managers, oversee contractor qualification, and coordinate with GC leaders to implement robust corrective actions based on incidents and audits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Construction Management, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or related field.
• 12–15+ years of EHS experience in construction, preferably data center or critical infrastructure.
• Proficient with high-risk activities including electrical safety, excavation and ground disturbance, fall protection, mobile equipment and crane operations.
• Experience evaluating, integrating and managing contractors.
• Knowledge of NFPA 70E, 29 CFR1926 and environmental compliance.
• Experience implementing EHS management systems (ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ANSI Z10).
• Expert in root cause analysis and corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• Provide support, technical expertise and leadership to the Construction and Development teams within the Region.
• Select, onboard and manage 3rd party contract EHS professionals.
• Lead and mentor Construction Safety Managers, Regional Safety Managers and 3rd party staff.
• Evaluate and qualify General Contractors and improve Vendor Qualification program.
• Coordinate with leadership from GC, OFCI Vendors and sub-contractors to improve programs.
• Ensure timely reporting, incident investigations and corrective actions; escalate high-severity incidents.
