Job summary

POWERHOUSE is seeking a dynamic Vice President of Construction to expand, lead, and oversee large-scale commercial projects across its portfolio in Texas and beyond. This executive will guide project execution, safety, budget, and schedule while shaping construction strategy and teams.

The role requires proven senior leadership, strong financial acumen, and the ability to manage multi-project programs, supplier relationships, and client communications. Ground-up construction experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Significant progressive experience in commercial construction with success leading large and complex projects.
• Experience overseeing large commercial, industrial, or government remodel/renovation projects valued between $5 million and $75 million per project.
• Senior construction leadership experience with multi-project oversight and financial, schedule, quality, and safety accountability.
• Strong knowledge of estimating, budgeting, scheduling, contracts, procurement, and change orders.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the construction portfolio with strategic direction and accountability for delivery, performance, profitability, and execution.
• Direct large-scale projects, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, procurement, execution, safety, compliance, and closeout.
• Establish and monitor budgets, forecasts, margins, cash flow, and financial performance; manage risks and profitability.
• Develop and mentor project executives, project managers, superintendents, and field personnel; set expectations and performance standards.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors; serve as executive contact for major matters and escalations.
• Ensure resources and schedules are aligned; address delays, coordination challenges, and constraints.
• Champion safety, quality, and regulatory compliance across all projects.
• Identify risks and lead resolution of complex construction challenges and contractual issues.
