Job summary

Boston Legacy FC is seeking a Vice President of Community & Development to lead strategy and execution of community engagement across Boston and Brockton. You will build a development function, cultivate major donors, and secure funding for grassroots programming in a start-up club environment.

You will collaborate with city leaders, schools, and nonprofits, and align fundraising with the Foundation’s goals.

Qualifications

10+ years of experience in community engagement, public affairs, nonprofit development, or related fields.
Senior leadership experience in nonprofit fundraising and donor cultivation.
Strong network across civic, philanthropic, and community networks in Boston and Brockton.

Responsibilities

Set and own the Club’s multi-year community engagement strategy, priorities, and success metrics for Boston and Brockton.
Serve as senior community relationship holder, coordinating with mayors, legislators, and civic institutions.
Lead partnerships with school districts, government, and nonprofits, committing resources as needed.
Design and direct flagship community programs and activate them via a team and partners.
Build the development function, lead fundraising goals, and grow the Club’s footprint.
Personally identify and steward major donors, corporate partners, and foundations.
Oversee grants pipeline, proposals, reporting, and funder compliance.
Represent the Club to donors and foundations to sustain long-term funding.
