Job summary

Boston Legacy FC is seeking a Coordinator, Sports Turf & Grounds to manage daily turf operations across multiple pitches and the bubble dome in Brockton, MA. The role blends hands-on maintenance with event support, safety, and a passion for top-quality playing surfaces.

You’ll work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays, with a hybrid on-site/remote arrangement across Massachusetts and Rhode Island.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree or at least 2 years of high-level turfgrass experience, preferably in sports turf.
• Skills in using Google Workspace, Zoom, and Slack.

Responsibilities

• Maintain one natural professional pitch and multiple pitches (including sand-based and artificial surfaces).
• Operate turf maintenance machinery safely (mowers, tractor, aerator, verticutter, etc.).
• Support events on outdoor pitches and bubble dome with painting, grooming, and setup.
• Assist in winter operations including snow removal across driveways and parking lots.
• Contribute to growing Legacy’s commitment to women’s soccer and club development.

The Role

The Coordinator, Sports Turf & Grounds at Boston Legacy FC is responsible for the daily execution of operational plans and upkeep of the training grounds and landscaping surrounds in Brockton, MA. This role is ideal for passionate professionals who love hands-on outdoor work, are comfortable working in all conditions, and driven to help deliver world-class playing surfaces. This position reports to the Manager and/or Director.

What You’ll Do

• Assist in maintaining one natural professional pitch with SubAir hydronic undersoil heating, ¾ natural pitch with sand-based drainage, three artificial turf pitches, and an artificial bubble dome.


• Safety operates machinery and equipment including mowers, tractor, aerator, verticutter, sweeper, brush, blower, trimmer, and utility vehicles.


• Perform regular pitch maintenance including mowing, painting, aerating, fertilizing, topdressing, brushing, blowing, and divoting.


• Maintain landscape surrounding areas including mowing, trimming, weeding, and blowing.


• Support events hosted on outdoor artificial pitches and artificial pitch in the bubble dome through painting, grooming, cleaning, and equipment setup.


• Assist in winter operations, including snow removal across driveways, parking lots, and player entrances.


• Support additional responsibilities as assigned to advance Legacy’s commitment to growing women’s soccer and building a championship-caliber organization.


• Opportunity to assist in matchday operations and special events at White Stadium once completed.

What You’ll Bring

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree or at least 2 years of high-level turfgrass experience, preferably in sports turf.


• Skills in using Google Workspace, Zoom, and Slack.

• Ability to lift 50 pounds frequently throughout the workday.


• Ability to work in various positions, including but not limited to, stooping, standing, bending over, sitting, kneeling, and squatting for extended periods of time.


• Ability to perform physical labor in various degrees of outdoor weather conditions, including but not limited to, extreme heat and cold or rain for extended periods of time.


• Valid driver’s license.

Salary Information

The pay range for this role is:
