ATOMS is seeking a senior communications leader to own cross-vertical comms for Food, Mining and Transport. You will build a network of agencies, craft a coherent public narrative, and advise leadership on high-stakes moments across four industries.

The role requires directing internal comms and developing a crisis playbook, with a base salary range of $160k–$200k. Based in the Los Angeles office, this permanent role emphasizes strategic advisory, media placement, and customer-forward

Qualifications

• 10+ years in communications.
• Track record reporting directly into leadership as a strategic advisor.
• Range across comms work – product launches, funding announcements, executive comms, crisis response, internal comms.
• Experience managing a portfolio of boutique agency relationships in parallel.
• Judgment to hold several distinct narratives across multiple industries.

Responsibilities

• Own the company-wide moment calendar and sequencing of announcements.
• Build and run the vertical media network with boutique agencies.
• Lead new-media strategy for Atoms leadership and secure placements.
• Set channel and tier strategy (newsroom, blog, LinkedIn).
• Drive customer-forward storytelling with customers speaking about their growth.
• Advise leadership on timing, framing, and risk of major public moments.
• Internal Communications: manage communications within the four businesses.
• Develop a crisis management playbook across verticals.
