Cogent Security is seeking a founding communications leader to shape how we appear in press, podcasts, and stages. You’ll own the earned media strategy, run the agency, prep executives, and move fast when stories break, translating complex AI security work for practitioners and business press alike.

You’ll build creator partnerships, guide executive branding, and craft narrative moments around funding, partnerships, and research drops, shaping Cogent’s market perception and recruitment appeal.

Formación

• 8-10+ years in communications or PR for B2B tech, with cybersecurity preferred.
• Led communications for funding rounds, acquisitions, and partnerships.
• Proven track record of turning research into stories in security and business press.
• Built a communications program at a small company with measurable results.
• Sharp news judgment and trusted executive advisor experience.
• Strong writing across pitches, briefs, talking points, and announcements.
• Fluent with AI for monitoring, research, and drafting; able to discuss practical use.

Responsabilidades

• Own earned media strategy: angles, story calendar, coverage plans for launches and milestones.
• Run the PR agency: set priorities, sharpen pitches, ensure quality under Cogent's name.
• Translate Cogent's work for security practitioners and business/AI press in one sentence.
• Lead rapid response; monitor press and social conversations and contribute to live stories.
• Build Cogent's presence in newsletters, podcasts, creators, and trusted voices.
• Manage creator/influencer partnerships to extend reach beyond owned channels.
• Shape how the AI research community sees Cogent and support recruiting messaging.
• Build executive visibility with CEO podcasts, conference stages, and media interviews.
• Own announcement strategy for funding, customers, partnerships, and research drops.
• Collaborate with Product Marketing on launches and prepare for hard moments.
