Job summary

Motif Neurotech is seeking a Director of Clinical Science and Applied Research to lead the clinical development program for a novel neural stimulation platform. The role is remote with periodic visits to Houston, TX, and requires extensive leadership of cross-functional teams across clinical, regulatory, and research domains.

The candidate will design and drive the evidence-generation strategy, oversee grants and trials, engage with regulators and funders, and present data at scientific meetings

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in clinical development within medical devices/pharma/biotech.
• Led clinical studies from protocol design through execution, incl. regulatory submissions.
• Managed clinical, scientific, or medical affairs teams and represented at meetings.

Responsibilities

• Develop and own the clinical roadmap.
• Define end-to-end evidence strategy from feasibility to reimbursement.
• Integrate regulatory and reimbursement needs into study design.
• Align clinical roadmap with company strategy and product timelines.
• Oversee clinical development projects and grants.
• Ensure studies are delivered on time, on budget, and to protocol.
• Identify and manage non-dilutive funding incl. federal grants.
• Oversee grant-funded programs, milestones, renewals.
• Represent the company at scientific/medical meetings and with P/L leaders.
• Build relationships with key opinion leaders in psychiatry and neuromodulation.
