Job summary

Abounding Rivers in Los Angeles County seeks a Head of Service (HOS) to lead all mental health services in our STRTP program. You will oversee clinical delivery, quality, and compliance with LACDMH, DHCS, and CARF standards, reporting to Executive Leadership.

You will guide evidence-based practices, supervise clinicians, and ensure thorough documentation, risk management, and billing accuracy, while advancing trauma-informed care and family-centered support.

Qualifications

• Active California license as an LCSW, LMFT, LPCC or Psychologist.
• 3+ years of post-licensure experience with children, adolescents, foster youth or specialty mental health populations.
• 2+ years of supervisory or clinical leadership experience (preferred).
• Strong knowledge of STRTP regulations, MHPA, Specialty Mental Health Services documentation, Medi-Cal billing, the CFT process, the child welfare system, trauma-informed care, CSEC services, and crisis and risk assessment.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the designated Head of Service and provide clinical leadership across the program.
• Supervise licensed and unlicensed clinical staff and lead case consultations.
• Ensure program alignment with MHPA requirements and readiness for MHPA Version III.
