Job summary

RISD seeks an Assistant Vice President of Auxiliary Services to provide strategic and operational leadership for a diverse portfolio of campus services that support students, faculty, staff, visitors, and the broader RISD community. The role ensures services are high-quality, financially responsible, and sustainable while aligned with institutional priorities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; 7–10 years of leadership experience overseeing complex service-oriented operations, preferably in higher education or campus services.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and overall direction for RISD’s Auxiliary Services portfolio across multiple campus operations.
• Develop and implement short- and long-term goals aligned with RISD priorities and community needs; establish standards, metrics, and accountability.
• Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis to ensure sustainability and responsible resource use.
• Identify opportunities for revenue generation, cost efficiencies, and partnerships, while ensuring compliance and risk management.
• Build relationships with students, faculty, staff, leadership, and external partners to align services and drive continuous improvement.
