A leading company in property management is seeking a skilled manager to oversee building operations in Austin, Texas. The role involves coordinating maintenance, ensuring compliance with regulations, and mentoring staff. Provide formal supervision to individual employees within a single functional or operational area. Approve subordinate recommendations for staff recruitment, selection, promotion, advancement, corrective actions, and termination. Efficiently recommend these for review and approval by next-level management. Plan and supervise appropriate staffing levels and labor utilization, including outside of normal business hours. Prepare and deliver performance appraisals for staff. Mentor and coach team members to develop competencies. Lead by example and act in a manner consistent with the company's values.
Knowledge and understanding of applicable practices, techniques, laws, project controls, and environmental regulations, including safety laws.
Universal CFC/EPA certification is required. Additional certifications in three or more of the following areas are preferred: HVAC, electrical, mechanical, refrigeration systems, process controls, mechanical power transmissions, painting, plumbing, carpentry, or engine repair. Licenses or certifications required by local or state jurisdictions should be obtained.
Basic knowledge of financial principles and ability to perform intermediate calculations such as percentages, discounts, and commissions. Capable of conducting detailed financial analyses.
