Job summary

BNY is seeking a Senior Blockchain Security Engineer to join the Digital Asset Security team in New York. You will drive security architecture, threat modeling, and secure development across Digital Asset systems, including smart contracts and web applications.

The role requires extensive experience in information security, blockchain technology, and cryptography, with a focus on digital assets, MPC/SMPC, and security in financial services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related discipline or equivalent work experience.
• 10+ years of information security or related tech experience; securities/financial services background a plus.
• 5 years in financial enterprise security with 3 years on digital asset and blockchain technology.
• Strong understanding of blockchain tech and DeFi use cases.
• Experience with smart contract development and security auditing (Solidity).
• Enterprise software development and security engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate discussions on emerging security standards and Digital Asset risk.
• Develop and implement security architecture, standards, procedures, and guidelines for Digital Asset security.
• Conduct threat modeling across the Digital Asset environment and advise teams on security best practices.
• Perform secure code reviews for smart contracts and web2 Digital Asset apps.
• Advise on the design and implementation of Digital Asset solutions.
• Review security assessments to provide insights and actionable recommendations.
• Mitigate risk and establish security standards and publishing protocols.
• Stay current with trends and best practices in blockchain security.
