Job summary

BNY Mellon is seeking a Senior Director, Cryptography & Security Engineering - Digital Asset Custody to join the Digital Asset Infrastructure team in New York, NY. This role focuses on building secure, scalable infrastructure for institutional digital finance, with emphasis on cryptography, distributed systems, and advanced transaction security.

You will collaborate with cryptographers, implement cryptographic code in C/C++, Go, or Rust, and conduct threat modeling and reviews to mitigate

Qualifications

• Expertise in secure software development and cryptography engineering.
• Hands-on experience with cryptographic protocols and secure coding practices.
• Experience with hardware security features including Intel SGX and HSMs, plus remote attestation.
• Experience integrating with blockchain nodes/APIs and wallet backends.

Responsibilities

• Build secure, scalable infrastructure powering institutional digital finance custody.
• Collaborate with cryptographers to develop highly secure crypto custody solutions.
• Implement and audit cryptographic code using C/C++, Go, or Rust with secure coding practices.
• Perform threat modeling, code reviews, and design tests to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities in cryptographic protocols.
