A leading company in facilities management is seeking a qualified individual to supervise operational areas. Responsibilities include overseeing maintenance, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and mentoring team members. Ideal candidates will have relevant certifications and strong financial analysis skills.
Provide formal supervision to individual employees within a single functional or operational area. Approve subordinate recommendations for staff recruitment, selection, promotion, advancement, corrective actions, and termination. Recommend these for review and approval by the next level of management. Plan and supervise appropriate staffing levels and labor utilization, including outside of normal business hours. Prepare and deliver performance appraisals. Mentor and coach team members to develop competencies. Lead by example and act in ways consistent with the company's values.
Knowledge and understanding of applicable practices, techniques, laws, project controls, and environmental regulations, including safety laws.
Universal CFC/EPA certification is required. Additional certifications in three or more of the following areas: HVAC, electrical, mechanical, HVAC and refrigeration systems, process controls, mechanical power transmissions, painting, plumbing, carpentry, or engine repair. Certifications/licenses as required by local or state jurisdictions.
Reasonable knowledge of financial terms and principles, with the ability to perform intermediate calculations such as percentages, discounts, and commissions. Ability to conduct detailed financial analysis.
